One Direction Radio 1 Weekend Pic Special!

One Direction took center stage during Radio 1′s Big Weekend concert held at Glasgow Green in Scotland yesterday afternoon (May 24).

The guys — Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson — played alongside Pharrell Williams, Katy B, Ed Sheeran and Lorde to kick off the annual event.

“There’s just no way to kind of comprehend it,” Harry recently told The Daily Record about the band’s Scottish fans. “You never imagine that anything gets to this level and we’re just so happy and so, so grateful for everything. The fans have made it all happen and it’s insane.”

Liam & Harry Visit Machu Picchu

It is one of the most iconic attractions in the world and now it has been visited by one of the most famous boy bands on earth.

As Harry Styles and Liam Payne visited the Inca ruins of Machu Picchu, fellow tourists were delighted to snap pictures of the One Direction stars at Peru's most famous site.

While the young stars soaked up the view - and even photobombed a couple of keen tourists - they added a certain star appeal to the Unesco World Heritage Sit.

The superstar boy band kicked off their Where We Are world tour in South America on Friday evening and it’s said the four boys were given a huge entourage of guards and police to ensure their safety while they performed in an area known for being a kidnapping hot spot.

It’s claimed the boys had more than 200 people protecting them and have even been given ‘hostile environment’ training.

Proving their boy power credentials, the five young men performed to an estimated 40,000 screaming fans at the El Campin stadium in Colombia – where they opened their Where We Are world tour, which will see them deliver 67 dates across the globe.

The epic Where We Are tour then opens in Europe in Croke Park Ireland on 23 May before landing in London's Wembley Stadium on 6 June.
